Good news has turned into concern for regular commuters in Punjab. According to City42 News, the cost of the Punjab Mass Transit System’s T-Cash Card has now doubled, making it more expensive for people who use public transport every day.
- The Transport Department of Punjab has officially increased the price of the T-Cash Card, which is used for both the Metro Bus and Orange Line Train.
- Earlier, the card cost Rs. 130, but now passengers must also pay an extra Rs. 130 delivery fee.
- This means the total price of the T-Cash Card has risen to Rs. 260.

Commuters will now have to pay both the card fee and the delivery charges from their own pockets. The new decision affects all passengers using the mass transit systems in Lahore and other Punjab cities.
- Many daily travelers have expressed concern, saying this extra charge will increase their monthly travel expenses.
- For people who depend on the Metro Bus and Orange Line Train for work or study, this move adds a financial burden.
This price hike comes at a time when inflation is already affecting citizens. The public now hopes that the Punjab Government will review this decision and find a relief option for regular commuters.
